How it works: It is an antitussive medication. Inhibiting the excitability of the cough center this medicine suppresses the cough of any origin .
Active ingredient: Acefylline , Diphenhydramine.
Reported side effects: Mild drowsiness may occur in some cases like other cough syrup containing antihistamines.

It is to be taken 3-4 times a day until the symptoms disappear or as advised by the doctor. Adults : 1-2 teaspoon, 3-4 times daily. Children : 1/2 to 1 teaspoon , 3-4 times daily. Infants ( Age 4-12 mnths ) : 1/4 teaspoon , 3 times daily OR As directed by your physician.

- Hypersensitive to any of the ingredients in the list.
- Diphenhydramine (Cough Sirup) is only for short-term use until your symptoms clear up.
- Taking too much Diphenhydramine can lead to serious heart problems, seizures, coma, or death.
- Always follow directions on the medicine label about giving Diphenhydramine to a child. Do not use the medicine only to make a child sleepy. Death can occur from the misuse of antihistamines in very young children.
- Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.
Store this medicine at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.
