What it is used for: Eye Infection.

Indications as listed by the manufacturer: It is used to treat eye infections including keratitis , pink eye , conjunctivitis , blepharitis , corneal ulcer , stye , uveitis , iritis . After eye surgery in order to prevent infections . It is used to reduce inflammation , pain and loss of vision .

How it works: Ophthalmic ofloxacin is used to treat bacterial infections of the eye, including conjunctivitis (pink eye) and ulcers of the cornea. Ofloxacin is in a class of medications called quinolone antibiotics. It works by killing bacterial cells that cause infection. Corticosteroids bind to the glucocorticoid receptor, inhibiting pro-inflammatory signals, and promoting anti-inflammatory signals. Prednisolone acetate has a short duration of action as the half life is 2-3 hours.

Known drug interactions: Ritonavir, cobicistat

Adults & Children : Over 2 yr : 1 drop every 4-6 hr . OR As directed by your physician.
