What it is used for: Eye Infection.
Indications as listed by the manufacturer: Infected ocular inflammation
How it works: This medication is used to treat eye infections. Ofloxacin belongs to a class of drugs called quinolone antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This medication treats only bacterial eye infections.. Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid, has been shown to suppress inflammation by inhibiting multiple inflammatory cytokines resulting in decreased edema, fibrin deposition, capillary leakage and migration of inflammatory cells.
Active ingredient: Ofloxacin , Dexamethasone.
Reported side effects: Rise in intra-ocular pressure , corneal thining , cataract , fungal infection and transient local irritation.
Known drug interactions: Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines. If you are using other eye drop or eye ointment medicines, wait at least 5 minutes between each medicine. It should always be the last eye drops used.

- It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ofloxacin, to other quinolones, or to any of the components in this medication.
- If you need to use more than one kind of eye drops wait 5 minutes between treatments. It should always be the last of the eye drops used.
- If you have problems with your eyes apart from sore or dry eyes talk to your doctor or pharmacist before you start to use the medicine.
- If you experience eye pain, vision changes, irritation of the eyes, persistent redness, or if the condition worsens or persists, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
- Take your lenses out before you put the drops in your eyes. Don’t put the lenses back in for at least 30 minutes .
Store this medicine at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.
