How it works: Ketotifen is a histamine H1-receptor antagonist. In vivo animal studies and in vitro studies suggest the additional activities of mast cell stabilisation and inhibition of infiltration, activation and degranulation of eosinophils.

Active ingredient: Ketotifen.

Reported side effects: Transient stinging and burning of the eye . Manifestation of ocular irritation such as congestion , swelling and itching. Blepharitis and dermatitis of the eye lid ( rarely but discontinue if occurs) .

Known drug interactions: If you need to apply any other medicinal products to your eyes together with ketotifen, wait at least 5 minutes between applying each product. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines .

Adult : 1 drop in each eye two-four times daily . Children : Usually not recommended , to be used only under strict medical supervision . OR As directed by your physician .

Active ingredient: Ketotifen. Labelled strength: 0.025%.

If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to ketotifen or any of the other ingredients of this medicine .
Do not wear contact lenses if your eyes are red . Also, do not use this medicine to treat irritation related to contact lens use.
Take out your contact lenses before using ketotifen eye drops. Wait at least 10 minutes after putting the eye drops in before putting the contact lenses back in.
This medicine contains benzalkonium chloride in each drop. Benzalkonium chloride may be absorbed by soft contact lenses and may change the colour of the contact lenses. You should remove contact lenses before using this medicine and put them back 15 minutes afterwards.
To keep the medicine as germ-free as possible, do not touch the applicator tip to any surface (including the eye). Also, keep the container tightly closed.

Store this medicine at room temperature, away from direct light and heat.
