What it is used for: Nasal Congestion.
Indications as listed by the manufacturer: For the relief from dry or irritated nasal passages caused by colds, allergies, low humidity, or overuse of decongestant nose sprays.
How it works: It helps add moisture inside the nose to dissolve and soften thick or crusty mucus. In babies and young children with stuffy noses who cannot blow their noses, using this product helps to make the mucus easier to remove with a nasal bulb syringe. This helps relieve stuffiness and makes breathing easier.
Active ingredient: Sodium Chloride.
Reported side effects: Rare: Local irritation, dryness and stinging in the nasal mucosa .
Known drug interactions: It can collapse into silver chloride with colloidal silver and silver nitrate solutions. There is no known interaction with other medicinal products.
In infants and children: 1-2 drops per nostril 1-2 times a day. In adults: 1-2 drops per nostril 3-4 times a day OR As directed by your physician.
