Femidol plus 100 Tablets

What it is used for: Fever & Cough.

Indications as listed by the manufacturer: It is a combination of three drugs that provides relief from Pain, Fever & Symptoms of Common Cold. It is an effective treatment with no sedation.

How it works: Paracetamol: Provides peripheral analgesia & anti-pyretic effect by reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Codeine: Provides central analgesia. Caffeine: It is a stimulant that keeps the patient alert and has mood alleviating effects. It works synergistically by potentiating the individual effects of codeine & paracetamol.

Active ingredient: Paracetamol , Codeine , Caffeine.

Reported side effects: Thrombocytopenia , Agranulocytosis , Anaphylaxis , Cutaneous hypersensitivity reactions including skin rashes, angiodema and Stevens Johnson syndrome/toxic epidermal necrolysis , Bronchospasm , Hepatic , Nervousness , Dizziness , Drug dependency can occur after prolonged use of codeine at higher doses , Constipation, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, dry mouth, acute pancreatitis in patients with a history of cholecystectomy , Dizziness, worsening of headache with prolonged use, drowsiness , Pruritus, sweating.

Known drug interactions: Metoclopramide or domperidone , colestyramine , alcohol.

Adults : 2 tab every 4hr , max 8 tab in 24 hr. Children : Not Recommended. OR As directed by your physician.
