Hair Fall
Shedding more than usual? Start with the causes you can actually change.
Losing 50 to 100 hairs a day is normal. What worries most people is a change in the rate — more hair in the brush, a widening parting, or thinning at the temples. In Pakistan the most common contributors we see at the counter are low iron, low vitamin D, recent illness or fever, crash dieting, and postpartum hormonal shifts.
Nutritional gaps take three to six months to show up in your hair, and just as long to correct. That means a supplement is worth trying only if you give it a full season. Alongside that, a gentle sulphate-free shampoo, less heat, and looser tying reduce breakage while the root recovers.
When to see a doctor
See a doctor if hair loss is patchy rather than diffuse, comes with scalp pain, scaling or redness, or is accompanied by fatigue and weight change — those point to a thyroid, autoimmune or scalp condition that a supplement will not fix.
