Indications as listed by the manufacturer: It Is Used To Treat Or Prevent Vitamin Deficiency Due To Poor Diet, Certain Illnesses, Or During Pregnancy.

How it works: Lipofer is a micronized and microencapsulated source of iron. Folic acid stimulates the production of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets in persons suffering from certain megaloblastic anemia. Vitamin B12 is essential for DNA synthesis and energy production, particularly in erythroid progenitor. Vitamin B6, principally in its biologically active coenzyme form pyridoxal 5'-phosphate, is involved in a wide range of biochemical reactions, including the metabolism of amino acids and glycogen, the synthesis of nucleic acids and hemogloblin. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) dissociates at physiological pH to form ascorbate, the redox state of the vitamin which is found most abundantly in cells.
