Indications as listed by the manufacturer: Meloxicam is used for: - The short-term treatment of the symptoms of acute attacks of osteoarthritis; - The long-term treatment of the symptoms of: - Rheumatoid arthritis, - ankylosing spondylitis (a disease of the backbone).
How it works: Meloxicam inhibits prostaglandin synthetase (cylooxygenase 1 and 2) enzymes leading to a decreased synthesis of prostaglandins, which normally mediate painful inflammatory symptoms. As prostaglandins sensitize neuronal pain receptors, inhibition of their synthesis leads to analgesic and inflammatory effects.

Does the job, though the pack is smaller than I expected — worth checking the size before ordering.
No issues with the item itself. I would have liked a cold pack for the summer heat.
