IVF M 150iu Injection

What it is used for: Female Infetility , Male Infertility.

Indications as listed by the manufacturer: Female: Primary & secondary amenorrhea. Hypomenorrhea, Anovulatory mensturation. Amenorrhea after delivery including Chiari-Frommel or Sheehan symptom (pituitary necrosis; after delivery), Argons-Castille syndrome (amenorrheal Galactorrhea). Male: Oligospermia, Azoospermia, Hypogonadism, Eunuchoidism.

How it works: Female : As in the female, Human Menopausal Gonadotropin stimulates the growth and the maturation of follicles and it induces an increase of the estrogen levels and a proliferation of the endometrium, It is indicated for the induction of ovulation with subsequent human chorionic gonadotropin in the amenorrhoeic patient or anovulatory woman with regular or irregular cycles. Males : As Human Menopausal Gonadotropin, in the male stimulates the spermatogenesis by acting on production of the androgen binding protein in the seminiferous tubules of the Sertoli cells. Human Menopausal Gonadotropin with concomitant Chorionic Gonadotrophin , human is indicated for the stimulation of spermatogenesis in men who have primary or secondary hypogonadotropic hypogonadism.

Active ingredient: Human Menopausal Gonadotropin.

Reported side effects: In the female, a local reaction at the injection site, fever, and athralgia may be observed in rare cases. In the male, a combined treatment of Human Menopausal Gonadotropin and Chorionic Gonadotrophin , human may cause gynecomastia. Circulatory system; Cerebral thrombosis can be caused.

Known drug interactions: In case that it is given to induce ovulation concomitantly with or subsequently to the ovarian stimulating hormone, excessive ovarian reaction such as Meigs syndrome accompanied by ovarian swelling, rupture of tumid ovary, ascites, hydrothorax may occur, and furthermore thrombosis, cerebral infraction due to the increase of activity in blood concentration or blood coagulation may also occur.

Adults : Female for induction of ovulation : 1 amp daily for 9-12 days followed by 10,000 units Hcg one day after the last dose, repeated at least twice at same level before increasing dosage to 2 ampoules. Male for spermatogenesis : Following pretreatment with hCG , 1 amp 3 times/wk and hCG 2000 units twice weekly until sperm is detected in the ejaculate ( 4-6 mnth ) then may be increased to 2 amp 3 times/wk. Children : Not Applicable . Or As directed by your physician.
