What it is used for: Osteoporosis.
Indications as listed by the manufacturer: Ossein Mineral Complex + Vitamin D is indicated for the treatment of : Increased mineral requirements during pregnancy and lactation. - Osteoporosis - Osteomalacia - Osteoarthritis - Rickets - Bone pain - Bone fragility - Stiffness in the joints - Fatigue - Hypocalcemia - Prophylaxis against dental caries - As adjuvant in fractures with delayed callus formation.
How it works: Ossein mineral complex provides complete bone nutrition - a whole bone supplement providing all essential nutrients necessary for bone formation. Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3) is necessary for the proper absorption and utilization of calcium and phosphorus in the body and the development of bones and teeth. It is also important for blood clotting and optimal function of the thyroid gland.
Active ingredient: Ossein Mineral Complex + Vitamin D3.
Reported side effects: Ossein mineral complex + Vitamin D is well tolerated in recommended doses.
Known drug interactions: Antacids , Anti-Seizure drugs , Cholestyramine/Colestipol , Corticosteroids , Digoxin , Orlistat , Rifampin , Thiazides .

- The dosage in osteoporosis is increased as per the recommendation of physician.
- Use with caution in patients having history of renal stones.
- Use with caution in patients with renal impairement .
- Precaution should be taken in patients who are having excess intake of Vitamin D that may lead to hypercalcaemia for excess bone loss.
