What it is used for: Diarrhea Relief.
Indications as listed by the manufacturer: It can help relieve diarrhoea, abdominal cramps, heartburn and nausea.
How it works: It works by binding certain acids and toxins in the stomach and the digestive tract. It contains Attapulgite as its active ingredient, which is classified as an adsorbent. It limits the loss of water, thereby reducing the number of loose bowels. It helps improve the consistency in stool and lessens abdominal pain caused by diarrhoea.
Active ingredient: Attapulgite.
Reported side effects: The most common side effect is : ConstipationSome serious side effects are : Flatulence , Abdominal bloating , Upset stomach , Nausea .
Known drug interactions: Do not use benztropine, trihexyphenidyl, loxapine, dicyclomine and opiate pain medication with this medicine.
