What it is used for: Pain & Inflammation.
Indications as listed by the manufacturer: Serratiopeptidase is primarily indicated in conditions like Haematoma, Inflammation, Musculoskeletal disorders, Oedema, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Thrombosis, Traumatic injury, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Bronchial asthma, Bronchitis, Tuberculosis.
How it works: It acts by dissolving fibrin. It works by reducing inflammation, reducing oedema and inactivating Bradykinin (A factor responsible for inflammation). It is able to increase the diffusion of antibiotics and cytostatic agents in tissue.
Active ingredient: Serratiopeptidase.
Reported side effects: It can cause nausea, vomitting, stomach disturbance, anorexia , gastric dyscomfort , redness or rashes.
Known drug interactions: Some medications that slow blood clotting include aspirin, clopidogrel , diclofenac , ibuprofen , naproxen , dalteparin , enoxaparin , heparin, warfarin .
Adults : 1 tab 3 times a day. Always consult to your doctor or pharmacist for dose adjustments.
