How it works: Choline is an essential nutrient that plays a vital role in maintaining the structural integrity of cell membranes . Choline is a precursor to acetylcholine which is an important neurotransmitter involved in memory , muscle control and other essential functions of the body .
Active ingredient: Choline.
Reported side effects: Hypersensitivity : Hypersensitivity symptoms , such as rash , may infrequently occur. Discontinue administration of choline in such case . Psychoneurologic : Insomnia may infrequently occur and headache , dizzines , excitation or convulsions may rarely occur .Gastrointestinal : Nausea may infrequently occur and anorexia may rarely occur . Others : Feeling of warmth may infrequently occur and transient blood pressure changes or malaise may rarely occur .
Known drug interactions: Taking choline with Atropine might decrease the effectiveness of Atropine .

For Tablet : As directed by the physician. For syrup : Children : 1 to 2 teaspoonful daily. Adults : 1 to 2 tablespoon daily OR as directed by the physician .

- Choline is likely safe when taken by mouth and used appropriately . Doses upto 3g daily for pregnant and breast breeding women upto 18 years of age and 3.5g daily for women 19 years and older are not likely to cause unwanted side effects .
- There isn't enough information available about the safety of choline used in higher doses in pregnant or lactating women . It's best to stick to recommended doses .
- Choline overdose can cause excessive sweating and salivation as well as a fishy body odor caused by products of choline metabolism in your body .
