What it is used for: Acidity & Ulcers.
Indications as listed by the manufacturer: It is used to treat diarrhea, stomach upset, nausea, heartburn and reduces number of bowel movements.
How it works: It causes an increase in mucus glycoprotein secretion and may also bind to the gastric mucus layer to act as a diffusion barrier to HCl. It accelerates ulcer healing and causes an accumulation of epidermal growth factor around the ulcer.
Active ingredient: Bismuth Subcitrate.
Reported side effects: Black stool, black tongue, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, muscle spasm.
Known drug interactions: It may interact with emeclocycline, Doxycycline, Minocycline, Omadacycline, oxytetracycline,Sarecycline,Tetracyclin.
