What it is used for: Fever & Cough.

Indications as listed by the manufacturer: It is used to give relief of severe sinus pain and congestion, nasal congestion, headache and pain, allergic symptoms such as sneezing, itching and watery eyes.

How it works: Pseudoephedrine belongs to a group of medicines called sympathomimetic decongestants. It works by reducing congestion in the upper respiratory tract, including the nose, nasal passages and sinuses, and making it easier to breathe. Paracetamol works to stop the pain messages from getting through to the brain. It also acts in the brain to reduce fever. Triprolidine belongs to a group of medicines called 'antihistamines'. Antihistamines help reduce allergic symptoms by preventing the effects of a substance called histamine. Histamine is produced by the body in response to foreign substances that the body is allergic to.

Active ingredient: Paracetamol , Triprolidine , Pseudoephedrine HCl.

Reported side effects: Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people) : Difficulty sleeping, nervousness, dizziness or feeling jittery , Drowsiness , Blurred vision , Thickened mucus, dry mouth, nausea or an upset stomach Rare (may affect up to 1 in 1000 people) : Confusion or depression , Tremor, shakiness or slurred speech , Low blood pressure Other effects which may occur but it is not known how often : Stroke , Heart attack/reduced blood flow to the heart which can cause discomfort or pain in the chest, neck, back, jaw, shoulders or arms (known as angina). Agitation, anxiety, irritability or feelings of extreme happiness .

Known drug interactions: Sedatives , Hypnotics , bupropion , Tricyclic antidepressants , Sympathomimetic drugs , atropine , guanethidine, methyldopa, adrenergic neurone blockers, debrisoquine, bretylium and betanidine , Moclobemide , Cardiac glycosides , Ergot alkaloids ,Oxytocin , haloperidol, thioridazine, perphenazine , amiodarone, propafenone, quinidine and flecainide , terbinafine , Antihistamines .

All 3 times daily. Adults : 10ml. Children : Over 9 yr, 10ml; 5-9yr : 5ml ; upto 4 yr : 2.5ml OR As directed by your physician.
